Why stake to AMS?

Make more returns on ADA

We offer a 0% variable fee and minimum fixed fee.

Earn loyalty benefits

The AmsterdamNode team measures and recognizes delegators that support our stake pool. We automatically send AMS-T (tokens of appreciation) to delegators.

Security

Not your keys, not your coins. By taking a few minutes to make your private wallet you are 100% in control of your assets.

Decentralize

By putting the control in your own hands (away from exchanges) you are actively participating in the overarching philosophy of decentralisation.

Help grow Cardano

Independent pools like AMS and the teams behind them enrich the Cardano ecosystem. AmsterdamNode is organizing events, building apps, and making real world impact.

How to start staking

1. Download and install one of the commonly used Cardano wallets on your browser:

  • Eternl (cc wallet) https://ccvault.io

  • Flint https://flint-wallet.com

  • Yoroi https://yoroi-wallet.com

  • [Full Node] Daedalus https://daedaluswallet.io/

2. Create a unique Cardano wallet to which only you have access

  • Follow the instructions on the software to create a wallet, be sure to safely store the recovery phrase in such a way that you do not lose it and it can not be copied/viewed by other people. A good practice is to store the recovery phrase in multiple places, and by non-digital means. This recovery phrase is important as you can only recover your wallet by this unique set of words.

  • After having generated a wallet there should be an option to copy ‘receiving’ addresses.

3. Send ADA from your exchange to the new wallet

  • Copy the receiving address exactly as shown in your wallet (Eternl / Flint / Yoroi / Daedalus) to store a Cardano (ADA) ‘withdrawal’ address in your exchange account

  • Make sure you are making a Cardano (ADA) withdrawal address in your exchange account.

  • Tip: Test the receiving address by first sending just a little ADA and waiting a few minutes to see if you have received it in your wallet

4. Stake the ADA in your wallet (For AmsterdamNode search ticker: “AMS”)

  • Go to the ‘delegation list’ or ‘stake pools’ tab (depending on whether you are using Daedalus or Yoroi)

  • Search AmsterdamNode stake pool ticker: “AMS” to find our pool

  • Click ‘delegate to this pool’ !

It will take 5-10 days for your delegated ADA to register to our pool. You should however see that AMS pool ‘live stake’ would have increased after ~20 mins on our Adapools page. The wallet software you installed will also provide you an overview of the total rewards you have made by minting blocks together with us!

Other ways to get involved

Understandably most people are primarily interested in staking to earn an easy % of ADA rewards on their ADA assets. We strongly advise anyone getting started in this space to develop a security mindset. Decentralization means you are your own crypto asset manager, operations and security department.
